We have added this device to help my hearing impaired ability to hear the doorbell. You can place the transmitters in a socket wherever in the house. Have one downstairs in the laundry room and one in the kitchen. It is working but no one from outside the household has rung the bell yet so we will see if it helps. A previous model attached with velcro which I thought might work better than the adhesive pad that is on this one but we will see. We decided that we did not want to drill holes in the door frame.

- If the battery in the doorbell button dies, the entire system will be rendered useless until it's replaced
