It is practical and interesting to explore the world around you or yourself. It's not the best type of microscope, but it's a great device for the price. Ever since I got it, I've looked at EVERYTHING I can think of to get up close and personal. I'm addicted to finding out what's hidden from prying eyes (and I have excellent eyesight). Downloading the app and getting started is very easy if you've done this before, but I used Google Play and not a drive. The stand helps with more professional use, but it's made of a cheap material that can easily break. I really just hold it and look at the object or put the object on the surface. The image, I've noticed, is usually sharp in two points that were simply magnified and then really magnified, like a microscope. Looking at the white cloth, I kept seeing individual colored threads, but I couldn't see without a microscope.
