I bought these for my kids for a 12 hour vacation. My kids are always arguing about whether we should watch movies or listen to music and we hoped this would reduce car fights. Of course these things made our trip much more enjoyable! My kids could easily switch between movies and music at any time, and the batteries lasted throughout the trip and even for a while after we got home. After reading the reviews I packed a lot of extra batteries but they proved useless. We gave them to the kids in December and they hadn't run out of battery by mid-January. I would pack extra if you're going longer than a week, but it's worth it!
