Review on 🐢 Cesar Small Breed Dry Dog Food with Spring Vegetable Garnish - Nutritious Dog Kibble by Christopher Ward

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Food allergies stopped after I switched to Caesar!

Like any normal dog, my Lucky loves to eat. He's a rescued beagle/dachshund mix aged 4 and while he loves food, doesn't always reciprocate. This was not always the case, but in the last year he has developed a food allergy to his normal food (probably due to a change in food). After trying many dog foods, I finally found one he could eat that didn't itch or lick, which would lead to several trips outside to eat grass later on. I don't know what ingredients were in the other products but I'm glad the issue is finally resolved. I also found that Caesar has fewer calories (348kcal/cup) than his previous meal, which is an added benefit alongside the fact that it's made and shipped in the USA. Following his daily schedule of 1/3 cup + 1 teaspoon cottage cheese twice a day, Lucky maintained his optimal current weight without hesitation. He loves all 3 flavors for variety (with real chicken or real beef as the 1st ingredient) and I'm glad I found 5 and 12 pound packs available online. Overall Lucky gets the same if not better diet but with fewer calories and is happy with that. It also looks very good, if I may say so. Coat, skin, teeth, temperament and general condition were exceptionally good after the change of diet. Would I recommend this food? Yes! My dog loves it, his vet loves the variety and I love the price and quality! Car! UPDATE: Cesar has new packaging in case your bag looks a little different. The only notable dietary changes are a change in crude fat (min.) from 13% to 12.5% and an increase in calories from 348 to 349 kcal per cup. That being said, any ingredient or quantity changes were minor and Lucky is enjoying it with no sign of an allergic reaction either.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky
