Works pretty well, a bit tricky to install but works very well.

First of all, car radios may require additional parts such as a bracket or frame to hold the car radio in place. This kit only comes standard with the device itself, connectors and parts, so you may need to purchase additional materials to make this device work. For me it was a mount to hold it in place that I had to buy. Other than that, the instructions aren't the best, but they gave me enough information to get it installed. This may take some time for those new to the install, in this case it was me. It doesn't come with a rear camera, but you can install any rear camera and it should work with this unit. As far as I can tell, it works with almost every camera. I tried three different cameras and they worked flawlessly. The controls on my car's steering wheel were connected and working properly. My friend said that this control should be universal, but I can't say that for every car. The supplied cables are very well made, so you don't have to worry about short circuits or damage. In general, the installation of the car radio is not bad. I installed it and it's handling the heat pretty well (I'll see how it fares in the cold with the coming winter, considering it's not winter yet). Even a few days in the hot sun could not harm this device. The screen is fairly responsive, but as far as I can tell it's not exactly tempered glass. It doesn't feel like character so be aware it's something that can get scratched over time. You can easily switch between modes and make your choice. I didn't have to press harder to repeat the command for it to work. There were no problems with drift and other things. The quality of the screen resolution is normal. I definitely wouldn't say he's the best. That's enough for what I need. There are various gestures you can use with this device and it's pretty cool. In terms of video quality, this works very well. You can watch movies and videos, but I wish there was a security feature to disable this mode while driving. Please note that in many states it is illegal to watch a video while driving and you may be fined for doing so. The video quality is not bad. I wouldn't say you're getting 4k quality, but you're getting close to 720-1080p video. I can play videos while parking and eating lunch. You have two connectors that you can use for this device. You can connect your phone via Bluetooth or by cable. Please note that with Bluetooth you lose a lot of functionality as it only really plays music and videos. I would recommend connecting it via a USB cable. It doesn't charge fast, so charging will be a bit slower. You get a lot more options and you don't lose the connection like with Bluetooth. Basically, it becomes a great video extension for your phone. You can use GPS on this device. It doesn't have its own built-in GPS, so you'll need to connect your phone to make it work as a GPS. GPS works on both Android and iPhone. Tried it on iPhone and Android. I found this works best with iPhone versus Android. Some Android apps like messaging are a bit buggy. I suspect this is because each android phone carrier has different options that may not work as well with this device. For best results, I would recommend using an iPhone. You can easily make phone calls with this device as it has speed dial and the like. The sound quality through this device is pretty good and the connection is reliable. This is about the same as my OEM panel. A somewhat strange microphone for me. It is a separate device and also on the dashboard. I assume this provides a better microphone receiver. It's clear so you don't sound like you're too far away or underwater. Even without an additional microphone, I no longer have to scream to be heard through this device. You can hang up and answer from this device and also see who is calling. The interface is more like the iPhone home screen. The icons look more like iPhone than Android, which is probably due to Android compatibility. It also has an AUX cable, which I actually use to connect it to my Echo device. You can also use it to connect to your old MP3 player. Actually, I also tried a USB flash drive, but it didn't seem to be readable. I'm not sure if I misunderstood the format of the flash drive. Note that you only have one USB port. The best way to get all the features working is to just plug in your phone. The screen is dimmable and it's not too bright when it's glaring at night. As far as I can tell, there is no auto-brightness for this device. Overall I think this is a good device if you want your phone to be able to connect and use your car stereo. The overall design and user interface are pretty good. I don't think it will break or break anytime soon.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Not everything fits
