Review on πŸ‘Ÿ Salomon Alphacross W Women's Trail Running Shoe by Allie Hull

Revainrating 4 out of 5

My first trail running shoes. I would order 1/2 size smaller next time.

To start, this is my first pair of Soloman shoes. I heard they make great shoes so I decided to give it a try. I don't have any other trail runners to compare them to. I'm your average height of 8 feet. I've worn a size 8 all my adult life, I don't have a wide or narrow foot. According to the reviews I ordered size 7, they fit perfectly. I used the Revain wardrobe to try on before buying. I recommend you do the same. I wore them around the house for a few hours and they felt good. So I decided to go and try them outdoors. I'm new to trail running and run a little over a mile a day five times a week. When I first jogged, my middle toes on my left foot felt tingly/drowsy. It disappeared after a short while as I walked on. I don't have super tight shoes or anything like that. I figured they would stretch a bit with more wear so I didn't go back. I've been using them for a couple of weeks now and my left middle toe still occasionally tingles/sleeps for short periods. I wonder if it would be better if I had a size 7.5? I only use them about an hour a day so I keep them. They're comfortable and very grippy on all the terrains I've been on (grass, mud, gravel, rocks, bumps). They are not waterproof at all, even a run on the morning grass will get wet. I love purple! I would order again, next time I would just try 7.5.
