Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect amount of soft light, pennies for the work **6 month update**

**Quick update after 6+ months of use. There are no failures, no overheating, the luminous flux has not changed. People comment on how good they look, not your everyday night light. The original rating is below. Still a happy camper, have bought 4 more since my original purchase. Great little headlights! They have a pleasantly warm color temperature like an incandescent light bulb and don't have the obtrusive bluish color of most night lights. It's best if your outlets are placed vertically rather than horizontally. With a vertical outlet, you can adjust as set in the listing and the light will be deflected downwards. In the case of horizontal outlets, it lights up laterally. Because both pins of the night light are the same size, you can position it to shine up or down in the vertical outlet and left or right in the horizontal outlet. As with any photocell, these night lights need enough light to turn off. . Two of mine run 24/7 due to their location but remember they are LED which means extremely low power consumption. Considering that the energy efficiency of these small flashlights is not the highest, they will probably use around 0.5 watts. Even if they run 24 hours a day, at an average estimate of 12 cents per kWh, each of them uses just over 50 cents A YEAR for work. You will never notice it on your electricity bill. You can plug the kWh cost into the following formula to calculate the annual cost. If your lights are in locations where there is enough light to turn them off each day, your annual costs will be even lower. These lights can actually save you more money than they use. We no longer have to turn on the ceiling light at night or even in the dark in the evening. They will more than illuminate the floor area with theatrical lighting. We have two spaced outlets above the kitchen countertops that provide more than enough light to move about, grab a bite to eat, or tidy up the dishes. Again, no 6 light bulbs have to be switched on = energy saving. I read some bad reviews but none of us disappointed me. One thing to keep in mind when using LEDs is that they need a lot of airflow to stay cool. The components of an LED lamp hate heat, so an inexpensive LED lamp in a closed fixture often fails prematurely. It is said that most of the boxes are from cheaper lamps, but few people read them. Same goes for these lights, maybe the components aren't the best but still meet the standards, or maybe they are, I can't tell. All the night lights we have are in open spaces, not obscured by a curtain that can be closed at night and not hidden behind a sofa or chair that could be pushed back against the light. I'm not saying there will be no failures, all LEDs will fail. A dime component in your LED TV can fail and render it unusable, it will. If one of them fails, be it so, think of the cost. They give off a pleasant warm light, provide security in dimly lit rooms, are very cheap to operate and allow us to move around the house after dark without having to flip the switches in every room. which can reduce overall energy consumption in the long term. Don't hesitate to buy more of these.
