from the water. Bought for myself last December. I have never flown a drone and I often come across new electronic devices that never feel intuitive and the instructions are usually very sparse. The instructions for connecting the PowerRay to the base station and remote control over Wi-Fi were easy enough for me to understand, so that's saying a lot. Not with virtual reality glasses. There are very few instructions on how to do this, and even YouTube videos don't cut it. Haven't tried using glasses yet, but I've heard that they are most likely only good for another viewer to look at and not to use to navigate the PowerRay. Also, there are no instructions on how to pair the iPhone app with the remote. It requires you to enter the remote's SSID number, but it doesn't tell you where to find the number. I came across an internet forum by accident. (Last 6 digits of the number on the bottom of the remote. The PowerRay takes a bit of practice to navigate but after two times in the pool I get the hang of it. On my first try I had trouble getting the PowerRay to unlock, for the turbine blades to turn on. I'm not sure what caused this. Maybe I didn't lower the PowerRay nose first so it was completely filled with water, just put it on the water surface. Anyway, I finally unlocked it. The second time I put it up my nose first and worked fine I was a little nervous learning how to adjust the camera and video settings, I saw a video on YouTube and got the impression it was a requirement to take good photos and videos I will not be using PowerRay again until April or May 2019 when my boat is back in the water so this review is based on limited experience tion. So far however I am happy with my purchase and the service staff The US support in Texas has been very responsive and helpful on the two occasions I have contacted them.
