There was a cheap temporary solution
The screen belt in the kit is annoying, my screen came loose on the second day and I wiped everything with alcohol and clamped for 24 hours. The touchscreen digitizer failed after 3 weeks. I should have just bought a new tablet at this point, but hey, it was cheap and worth a try.
