This adapter fits between your trailer's 7-pin connector and your tractor's 7-pin trailer connector. Its purpose is to convince your tractor's electronics that LED trailer lighting is no worse than old incandescent bulbs, only without electrical resistance. I looked for comparable devices or "workarounds" from other manufacturers and found nothing. This Curt adapter is the right widget for the job.
