This was the perfect replacement for my 18 year old cartridge that no longer had heat/cool control. It was either VERY cold or VERY hot. I couldn't get the nut off, so I ordered a new cartridge and nut in case all that wrench and hacksaw work ruined the cartridge. I managed to get the old cartridge out completely, but I still decided to put a new one in. I saw an old cartridge that has been soaking in the CLR for a few days and it's sitting in the closet in case I ever need it again.
