I was hoping to find a floor scale that would accurately read my weight. I didn't really care about my fat, fat-to-bone ratio, bone-to-skin ratio, etc. However, what I got was a scale that only showed my weight in kilograms. I refused to convert kilograms to pounds every time I tried to weigh myself. I refused to be fooled by a numbering system that we don't use, and hopefully never will use, in the United States. However, I really wanted it to work and I followed the instructions to start using it. I followed the instructions to get Bluetooth 4.0 working and went to the App Store to download the app as instructed. However, there was no app for the US. There was one bid for the international elite, one for another region, another for another region, but strangely none for the US. So I downloaded the international app. It made sense but always gave me my weight in kg. Again, I didn't want the weight to be kg. Well, for me, the US is still part of the international set. But not on this scale. I went back to the App Store and looked for another US version of the app but couldn't find anything. I ended up taking the stove and stepping on it. By the way, if you have a big foot and wear size 11.5 shoes, you will hardly fit on the glass plate of the scale. I think it's made for gnomes. I looked down to see how many pounds I weigh and saw nothing. There were not only pounds, but also kilograms. The batteries were new, so I figured they couldn't be the cause of the scale's death. So what's the problem with a very dim reading on the scale? Don't ask me as I am very disappointed in the scale as I write this review. I put in the new batteries that belonged to me and took out the ones that came with the scale. Then I found out why. Poor little Libra - he died and didn't tell me. I shed a few tears. We didn't get along, but that was no reason not to tell me he was dying. Well, that's life anyway. He died before his parents, and it is a parent's worst nightmare to die before their offspring die. Well, Mr Scales is now in the rubbish - the British way of saying 'rubbish'. Heartbroken, mind broken, broken in every way. Sorry to see that and I was not coping at all. I think he tried too hard. rest in peace brother. Of course, I cannot in good conscience recommend the ouMandis Upgrade Premium Smart Scale. It just didn't work; it didn't work at all.
