Doesn't hold much weight

I bought these to replace some of the ugly control hooks I had in my bedroom. I was disappointed with the grip strength. I've only had the hook a few days and was only using it to hold my robe and it fell off the wall. My robe doesn't even weigh 2 pounds. I'm not sure if I installed it incorrectly (I cleaned the wall and used enough force) but I don't recommend buying these if you plan to hang something heavier (like a towel, coat, etc.).
