I used to have a used Top of Line sewing machine and it was amazing, sewed great but cost a lot of money (even used). Like everyone these days, budget is a big issue and it turns out I don't really have as much sewing time as I thought I would. Husband, kids etc all take up my time. :) So I decided to sell my Top of Line car and bought this car instead. Let me say this car was great. Came brand new with all accessories. The buttonhole foot was in a small box under the machine. It was just a pleasure to use this machine. It has a great looking straight stitch and was a fraction of the cost of my used TOL machine on a budget. I have Revain Prime and spent an extra $3.99 to get it the next day and it arrived the next day. Perfect. This machine is NOT computer controlled which took some getting used to and the ONLY thing I really miss is that on some computer controlled models the needle can always stop up or always down. People always advertise this machine as "beginner" but I'm not sure why a really excellent seamstress wouldn't/wouldn't be able to use one of these. Perhaps my application is different from most others. But I found I didn't use that many extra stitches even on the TOL machine. Even at this point in my life, my projects have to be relatively quick and easy, or they won't get done. This machine even has serged seams so you can finish raw edges and avoid fraying. I LOVE the spool on these machines. It has a transparent lid so you can see how much thread you have left. Anyway, I have absolutely no regrets here. It's a good solid machine, heavy enough so it doesn't bounce around as you sew, and the presser foot is raised very high to allow thick fabrics to pass underneath.
