Very easy to install - make sure you press the base against the dash when you turn the knob and it seems attached for as long as I like. I have chosen not to use a vent clip because I am a woman of a certain age and access to all vents is important to me! It is very easy to use - the push button opens the shackles instantly and the ratchet closes just as easily. Even when I'm not using my phone, I put it in a holder to keep my phone from sliding over the center console. When I use the phone it makes placement easy and quick. Also, it's great if you use Google Maps!
