I also bought a BMW grip to compare
I bought a BMW grip and paid about $80. I also bought this after installing the BMW grip. They are not identical. However, I recommend this instead of BMW. Fit and finish are the same. The BMW grip requires you to melt the plastic to secure it. It has three screws that attach just as easily as the melt method (assuming you even have the right tools to melt them). Watch some online videos on how to remove an old pin.
