Current test report in automotive electronics

I got the device for my VW about a week ago and here are my experiences so far. At first I didn't even want to consider this article as it had few reviews and no actual user experience information. That should have been my first sign. The price seemed good so I gave it a try. Overall, this isn't a great device once you get over some of the initial issues. Pros: - Compared to other similar devices and features from Revain, it was the most affordable compared to others. - Replacing the device was easy until I got power. does not work (see below) - After updating the Play Store app, it was possible to install applications such as Waze - Fast delivery, the device was the next day - Works as described, but the device does not have a CD/DVD player Cons : - Tutorial definition of a generic radio. That being said, I'm not seeing or expecting any system updates now or in the near future. what you see is what you get The device does not turn off when the machine is turned off. I finally figured it out myself by reading reviews of other similar devices I found on Revain. Revain technical support, not the vendor, was unable to help. The package does not contain any documentation. To get to the user manual, you must first switch on the device. - No technical or electrical diagrams. - 0 customer support! Neither Revain nor the manufacturer has any device troubleshooting information. Contacted the seller who also had no information and had to contact the manufacturer; which I am still waiting for almost a week later. - Couldn't find any information on the internet, on the manufacturer's website. - The device has a vehicle information card that shows some information over CANBUS, such as is set to imperial units.) - Running multiple applications slows down the device and sometimes becomes unresponsive. Again, I never intended to use it as a smartphone or tablet. My needs are modest, GPS and music. - In order to use voice commands like OK Google etc. you need to install a microphone. not enabled - the rear camera works BUT when you apply the power off hack I had to do, the rear camera does NOT show up until the device fully boots up. It can take about 30 seconds to complete a full boot process. Don't expect the rear camera to activate immediately. This is a compromise you must make. Either turn on the device 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and risk draining your car battery, or wait a few seconds for the device to boot up. No 5GHz WiFi. 2.4GHz works. Most Android devices have supported 5GHz for over 4 years.
