So far I'm not impressed.

I've only had it a day, let's see, but here's: Pros: - I like the display, when it's on it's very clear and easy to read. - NCV function seems to work fine, slow tone when measuring voltage and speed increases as you get closer to the voltage source. - I like that it constantly reads the temperature. Cons: - It automatically reads the temperature in C, even if you toggle it to F, as soon as you turn it off it goes back to C. Since this is America and we use F, it's a big downer! Also, there are no instructions on how to toggle, I just had to figure it out (by holding down the live button) - there's no clear indication of exactly where the temperature sensor is in relation to the device. So who knows what it reads, maybe the warmth of your hand while holding it? - Instructions are very lacking. - The display goes from great to rubbish as soon as the backlight goes out, which looks like about 5 seconds, so you have to keep turning it back to see your readings, which isn't very handy when you have cords in your hands. There should be a "permanent" setting for a selectable sync duration. Maybe after playing around with it a bit more I'll find ways to solve the problems I'm having, we'll see.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Negative impression
