It could be a contender if the recording time wasn't limited to 96 hours. I give 3 stars because it's already average. Instead, I used Taylor's digital waterproof thermometer to measure high/low, -20 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit because it records the minimum and maximum on two heat sensors for 7 days. For my purposes of recording the maximum and minimum internal and external temperatures in a closed shipping container, this is ideal.
