The Belkin F7D8301 is [typically] the cheapest gigabit port router you can buy that supports Tomato (a variant of DD-WRT). I personally prefer Tomato Shibby's VPN build because it supports PPTP (the built-in Windows VPN) over OpenVPN. But I'm sure others have other favorites. In addition, you can find other routers that support DD-WRT with Gigabit ports. But I wanted a tomato. Anyway, I bought from Blue Proton and really got what I ordered - F7D8301 (gigabit ports and TWO USBs). . I was a little worried they would send me the wrong F7D8302. It should be noted that Amazon's description incorrectly lists 1 USB when there are 2. The F7D8302 is more common, cheaper to buy, but only has 10/100 (non-gigabit) ports and one USB. Keep in mind. that when upgrading to Tomato you need to flash a mini DDWRT for that router and THEN upgrade to the Tomato version you are interested in with 8MB or less memory. There is a network device on the planet. This is a very good debugging feature that allows you to plug a device into a network port and see the indicator light up to show it's connected. However, Belkin believed that this was not necessary.
