I have had several pocket watches over the years and this is my favorite watch at the moment. For this price, this is excellent quality. It's not a heavy, clunky watch. I wear mine as a pendant - the chain that comes with it is not a necklace but as it is a solid quality chain with a rustic look I threaded it through a similar necklace chain and reattached the end clip to the ring. watch clip. It hangs a good length, a few inches above my waist. Pressing the underside of the top of the crown opens the front of the case. The dial is adorned with large, shiny Roman numerals and white hands, making the watch easy to read even in low light. The movement of the second hand is smooth, the watch keeps excellent time. I wind mine a few times a day because mechanical watches are more accurate if they aren't allowed to wind too low. The winding mechanism is easy to use and a slight resistance tells you when it's fully wound. The design of the watch is very attractive, with a delicate skeleton on the front, delicate enough for a women's accessory but not frilly or girly to suit a man as well. Highly recommended as a gift for yourself or others. This is not a cheap steampunk watch. This is an elegant, quality watch at a reasonable price.
