I would buy them at the same time as my filters if I knew what a difference they would really make. It's amazing how much quieter my filters have gotten since replacing the impellers with these bad boys. Talk about a world of differences! I recommend them to any body that has a noisy filter. My aquarium uses sand as substrate and it always gets stuck in the filters, standard impellers can't cope with it, but they don't have a problem and are still absolutely noiseless even after two months. Definitely worth buying them, they will make the world a better place in your home!
