Review on Spyder 600113 Rapid Eject 6 625 Inch by Robert Moloney

Spyder normally makes top-notch products, but it took 3 of these tools to find one that doesn't look much different from the round one that came from the factory ! Due to the large diameter of this saw, the large deviation from true circle section makes it very difficult to maintain stability and the first two I received were not only shaky out of the box but had obvious problems in the welds where the die Seams weren't highly aligned and as a result the teeth in the weld stuck out a lot more than the rest. I tried using them but they cracked and cut horribly and caught on the material too often. Luckily the third one I got was perfect in every way. It was well welded, much rounder and cut as expected. Based on Spyder's reputation for quality products, I'm guessing that the first saws were made from a small batch of bad saws that just went through their quality control, but who knows? All in all it can be difficult to find a well made hole saw of this size and I would not hesitate to buy from Spyder again if I needed another large diameter saw.
