Cheap, flimsy and awkward
We have a Swedish Christmas bell like the photo I posted. The brass center post, which fits into a sturdy socket at the bottom of the plate, is strong and upright and has lasted over 40 years. This new "premium" bell is thinner and lighter. The center is attached to a board with ledges and stones back and forth because it is not a secure connection. No comparison to the old one with us. We bought this as a gift and were confused when the recipient opened the box and tried to install it. (I don't think it's real brass either.) I DO NOT RECOMMEND this item.
