Review on Derale 15715 Engine Filter Relocation by Josh Nat

Great product but prepare before ordering. If you visit Derale's website, you will find that after a little research, the manufacturer makes several versions of this product. I have found that with this part number 15715 I can still use the factory size oil filter. I installed it on a 1997 Toyota Tacoma and a 1999 Toyota 4Runner, both with 3.4 liter V6 engines. Anyone who has ever had to change the oil on this engine knows how messy and difficult it can be. This kit solves the problem and simplifies the filter change. The new filter bracket fits directly under the battery box on the inner fender well. I was impressed with the overall quality of the kit and its components, lots of hoses were provided and all the parts needed were in one kit. If you want to go one step further, you can use Gates Power Grip clamps. They save you from the ugly hose clamps that come with the kit. install There is a great YouTube video showing how to install them.
