Even better than expected. Real wood, stained the desired shade, like Walnut. Well made. Those people who complained that the hook is misplaced or portrait-only are wrong. They just didn't understand that the hook can be snapped into place anywhere around the inside of the frame on the back. Yes, the darkness/shade varies a bit (I bought eight) but that is to be expected, as these are stained, not printed with a wood grain. Again, very nice. The cover is glass, not plastic. But I think they do need to add instructions about moving the hook. No complaints as far as I'm concerned.If you want to give out an impressive diploma/certificate/award just print it on gold shimmer paper, also available on Revain, and put it in this frame. It looks like a very expensive brass and walnut plaque with glass over it - better than an engraved plaque and easier to read.
