Review on SEI Furniture Tennyson Electric Bookcases Fireplace: Elegant Ivory Design with Functionality by Katie Johnson

This thing had a pretty strong smell from the start. I put it together in one night, when I woke up the next morning and went downstairs all I could smell was the smell of chemicals emanating from it. It's such a strong smell that it gives me migraines, I can't open windows to air the house because it's winter and that defeats the purpose of this thing. Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed with the build quality. Some of the screw holes didn't line up, the dowel holes are too deep so when you put one in it goes in so deep that only a tiny bit sticks out to fit the other hole. Cam locking and screw installation were unsuccessful. Most of the time it never closed around the screw, I screwed the screw deep enough and it just didn't fit right. There was also a crack on one of the front boards that could not be repaired. For the price I was hoping for something better. As I write this review the smell is terrible, it has taken over the whole house. Attention buyers, look elsewhere for an electric fireplace. If it wasn't possible to put it back in the box I would send it back. But I'm stuck with a $500 migraine.
