It took me less than 1 hour to swap out/install this kit. The instructions were a bit confusing as they are very generic for all toilets, but the mechanism is simple enough to understand how to replace. The toilet can be removed by 1) turning off the water and manually disconnecting the water supply and 2) removing the 2 nuts (1/2). ") that attaches the toilet to the floor. The toilet can now be removed from the RV. Then separate the top of the toilet from the base by 1) removing the two screws (3/8" head). that connect the top and access the bottom and behind the back of the toilet, then 2) grasp the bottom of the toilet (base) and rotate the entire top of the toilet counter-clockwise. The four large ridges connecting the top and bottom will come loose after rotating about 45 degrees. Then, to remove the drain ball (a curved nylon/plastic seal that opens when flushed), loosen the Phillips head screw that secures one end. Access to this is located directly under the flushing pedal on the side. The waste ball can then be bent slightly to remove each end from the hole. Reverse the process to reinstall and replace the two large black spacers that come with the kit while you do this. I had to replace my flush ball because it broke at the end that connects it to the flush pedal. It was thus completely decoupled from the pedal and could only be opened and closed with a stick.
