I bought this to take on camping trips but it was adopted by my 1 year old grandson and my father. I've had it for months, it's constantly wet with baby drool and spit, it's been thrown off a high chair onto the tile floor more times than I can count, and worse, it's supposed to play the Barney I love. you keep eating Surprisingly it still works. This speaker is durable enough to outlive my grandson and that purple dinosaur, then I know it will be good outdoors. The sound is good and clear, the volume can be really loud if needed - my 94 year old father also lives with me and is hard of hearing, very nice that I can turn it up loud enough so he can hear his old village songs. Poor little speaker, we've been through a lot.
