Better than the original

There are half a dozen or more videos on the internet showing how to replace the original Hyundai hatchback button, which is great because there are no instructions included with this product. However, this is a fairly simple process and should NOT be performed by an experienced mechanic. I have a 2012 Veloster and it was actually the wrong part as I have a rear camera and the wiring for the button and camera are glued together and I use a larger connector. I thought that might be the case but saved about $20 by not buying the correct part with the camera attached which I don't need as the camera is fine. With this new part I simply pushed the round rubber grommet into the connector to get as much flimsy wiring as possible, then cut the new button and wiring and connected it to the existing wiring after cutting the old button off with the existing one . The OEM gasket (which was better) and the existing connector which was different due to the camera lens. This new button works great and as others have said is far superior to the OEM button. I'm slower than most people so it took me about an hour to complete this job which included gathering the necessary tools, additional cutting/splicing and cleaning.
