First I couldn't register any of my 6 lamps in the package with the WiFi (EZ) mode setting or hotspot. At first I thought it was because my lamp has a metal case that can block it. After reading posts elsewhere I went through the following two steps of the router in EZ setup mode and then came back after all the lights were registered. Installing the router back did not affect subsequent work.1. 5G.2 radio turned off. Disabled WMM (Wi-Fi Multimedia) in my router firmware (usually 192.168.1.1). I don't know exactly why it works, but it works. Make sure you turn on the 5G radio and WMM afterwards, as this may cause some devices that worked previously (e.g. the Alexa or Blink camera) to be glitchy when WMM is off .
