I ordered these ICEPURE RV filters for use in my RV when connected to the camp water supply. This is really a pre-filter to complement the canister filter I have on my RV. You never know what the water quality will be at any campground, so it's a good idea to use them to pre-filter the water before it enters your RV. Love the plug that comes with them, it's the best kind. The previous set of filters I ordered came with a solid copper plug that didn't work properly. This allows for some flex without kinking or leaking. Always make sure to flush some water through the filter before connecting it to the RV. Some black water will usually come out, which is perfectly normal. But even if you drink it, it will not harm you. Also remember to rinse it with water for about a minute every time you plug it back in. This will flush out any old water that was left in the filter when you unplugged it. I flushed a filter because I'm going on a trip in a van in a few days. Very little carbon came out and the TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) test reduced it slightly. However, they are not designed to significantly reduce the total amount of dissolved solids, I just wanted to make sure they weren't adding anything to the water. The previous set I ordered from another brand greatly increased the TDS and I decided not to even use them. So five stars. solid products at a great price.
