Review on Herodian Classic Clay Oil Lamp with Handle - Replica Ancient Artifact for Hanukkah & Judaica/Christian Gift - Includes Certificate of Authenticity by Robert Hines

I have read about the dimensions

The lamp is excellent and I like it. I've read some of the reviews on other leaks; Mine doesn't leak oil, but does sometimes leak around the mouthpiece. It's smaller than expected, which is why I recommended checking the dimensions. It burns any oil, although initially it comes with waxed wicks which last much longer. I bought a pack of unwaxed wicks from him and am curious to see the difference in burn time. The lamp can be a little messy when filled and moved by even the most skilled hand. I suggest putting it on a surface that won't get smudged with oil. Otherwise, for something based on an old and primitive design, the stock seems to work very well and is completely intact. It looks very practical and gives a lot of light for such a small lamp. It seems that the cost of a quarter cup of cooking oil several times a month would be a lot cheaper than the light bill. I also get a lot of compliments for the old and simple but still very effective design. Fun / hands-on shopping
