Great item for kitchen and dining room
Surprised by some negative reviews. It was the perfect size to cover the prep sink on my kitchen island, which already had a maple log countertop. Perfect size and adaptation to the existing countertop. Smooth on all surfaces and well finished. I have only used an inexpensive food grade mineral oil on it as well as on my countertop and the results are excellent. Not cheap but definitely worth the price.
- Care: Hand wash and dry. Apply John Boos Mystery Oil regularly (more often in dry climates and when the board is new), use John Boos Board Cream to seal the surface of the wood after applying Mystery Oil. Butter and cream available separately from Amazon
