Love this filter. I have this in my 3 gallon betta bowl. When you're short on real estate, size matters. After reading that media can be changed, I bought this filter specifically for the extra compartment at the bottom. I have tannis in my bowl because of the driftwood and I wanted to add some medium to absorb it. It was easy for me to toggle my media checkbox. The pebbles are small enough to be taken out through the top where the air hose attaches and if your rack is small enough they can be filled through the top without opening it. The only downside is that it floats. I used a suction cup to hold it in place. It won't bother me anymore.
