I discharged a 12v lithium battery with it The initial charge was a 500w fan heater. I checked the load with a pair of pliers and it reads 46 amps which is about a 500 watt load from a 12 volt battery. So far, so good. Then I smelled burning plasticโone of the alligator clips holding the inverter to the battery was melting. The clamp has two serrated copper plates, but only one of them is connected to the wire and has enough resistance to generate heat that melts the plastic. I replaced the alligator clips with ring connectors and everything worked fine, although the cables did get warm/hot. The bottom line is that the supplied battery connectors cannot handle the inverter's rated capacity, making this product dangerous when trying to reach a full 1000W load. On the other hand very cheap and up to 250W load ok.
