Review on 💾 WD 1TB Blue USB 3.0 My Passport Portable External Hard Drive (WDBYNN0010BBL-WESN) – Reliable and Spacious Storage Solution by Alejandro White

So far so good - but please note I only received this hard drive yesterday and am using it as a drive today. Plugged into my laptop's USB port, seen the WD software but didn't need it, transferred photos, videos and files to the drive, all went well. However, I bought two of them. This smooth experience was not repeated with the second drive (also 1TB WD My Passport). When I plugged the second one into the USB port, the drive light just kept blinking. Blink, blink and blink. Wouldn't connect. Finally, a pop-up window appeared with a message about the need to format the hard drive. (This didn't happen with the first drive.) I formatted the drive and in fact it now has no backup software on it. So --- I'm considering sending the second drive back as I don't need a used or failed drive. I'll update this review if anything changes with the first disc.
