These hammers are easy to use. I needed a lighter repair hammer and an old walnut bookcase. My hammers left dents and cracks. I have social contacts in the field of body repairs. My sources recommended these types of hammers. They're supposed to be aluminum for bodywork, but this can't be verified anywhere on the tool or on the box. As an artist and restorer, the presentation of things is important to me. Aluminum hammers must also have a red tip for identification. I'm no expert on hammer weights, but they've handled enough weight to sever some old planks of wood, straighten antique hardware and looms without incident; Besides, wedges were also useful. They also have a good grip. Just the right length too. They work well on any surface that requires extra contact and control. Good business!
