Review on ๐Ÿšฒ SONGMICS Adjustable Bicycle Cargo Carrier Rack with Disc Brake - USBC03B by Kyle Rodman

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Solid stand. Profitable price!

I didn't pay enough attention to this before ordering and realized afterwards that it wasn't designed to work with linear brakes. I decided to try it out when it arrived and it worked fine. As you can see from the photos there is plenty of room for the brakes. If I didn't have a threaded bushing in my frame to mount the post it wouldn't work. The included bracket for attaching the extended arms to the frame would interfere with the brakes. The stand itself is very good for its price. I installed this rack on my wife's bike and it seems to be just as strong as the rack I installed on my bike which costs twice as much. The rack is advertised as having a 55lb capacity and I'm sure it can handle that weight, but these racks fail when hitting sharp bumps with a heavy load. In fact, I'd be happy if the rack could support 25 pounds, and I expect it. The images provided for the guide are sufficient and the equipment provided is of good quality. The only problem with the installation is that I fully extended the extended arms that attach to the frame and the post is still slightly misaligned which is the cause of the lost star. Also, I installed the cams that the extended levers slide through in reverse order. I installed them outside contrary to what is stated in the instructions. There is still enough room to move the ratchet 10mm from the bottom to tighten it.
