I've been boating my entire life, from Florida to California to the Abaco Islands. This is easily the best docking line you can buy. Aside from being well made, the gold/white is beautiful too. I use 5/8" x 20' because it fits nicely into the boat spikes and still has enough power to tow a 50 foot boat. By threading a loop through the center of the spike and then threading the line back through thread the loop, it provides a secure fit that won't loosen during use Flexibility is great for handling and coiling It's great to see a great product that works as it's supposed to.
