I was dreading this part of our kitchen renovation. The preparation was amazing! I did everything exactly according to the attached instructions and the video on the company's website. I cleaned everything twice with TSP and then with Vindex. I definitely don't want to do that much work again, so I wanted to get it right the first time! I'll say you can't do it over the weekend. I prepared gradually over the course of a week. On Saturday I painted over 12 hours. Sunday was spent reinstalling the hardware and doors. The color didn't blend, I noticed this from another review, so my husband and I took turns shaking the cans several times a day before applying for a week and I blended with a stick for 15 minutes. and it has never fully mixed. I had streaks on the ends of the cabinets. I mixed the color with my brush while it was in the bowl before applying a third coat to the ends and it helped somewhat. The color is really nice, it turns gray but when it dries it turns dark blue. The finish appears to be quite durable on the paint after drying. The paint is very watery and bleeds through the tape and I applied a lot of pressure as the instructions said. Luckily I paint the walls afterwards so it's not that big of a deal. In terms of coverage, we have 32 cabinets and a frame that needed painting. I applied 2 coats to everything and 3 to the edges of the cabinet frame and barely used the second can! All in all I'm very happy with how they turned out now that it's finished! Make sure you clean and sand your cabinets and frames well! I really hope it lasts because it was a lot of work!
