**Update: This mount works with a MagSafe case. You need to buy an Apple MagSafe charger and a MagSafe case with a built-in magnet. I'm not changing my guess as the cost of this setup skyrocketed with the purchase of a phone case. Also, I had to use a piece of my old bracket because the plastic piece holding the bracket came loose. Now I have a nice, robust setup, but it cost me $100 to get it working reliably. There is nothing that can hold your phone securely in place. The charging magnet itself is nowhere near strong enough to keep the phone from falling. I'll try this with a MagSafe case as well as a charger to see if it works.
