Ceiling Buttons Help

I had a radiant heat plastered ceiling that had a crack at least 8 feet long and sagging on one side at least 2 inches below the other side. I placed temporary "props" between the floor and ceiling to keep the crack from propagating while I thought about the solution. The experts told me that "…the entire ceiling needs to be lowered and the new one raised. At least $4,000 to $5,000." Ouch. Then, after some searching, I found these 'ceiling knobs' and decided to give it a try. After tracing the path of radiant heat and locating ceiling joists using new stud finder technologies, I used a 1-1/8" Forstner bit to lightly cut into the undulating surface of the plaster ceiling and drilled about every 6". inside the left out section. Then I pre-drilled the ceiling into the joists to allow the Screws didn't crack, and drove the screws into the ceiling through these washers until they slowly began to raise the ceiling.I didn't fully tighten each screw, but I did them gradually (alternately tightening from screw to screw) so that he slowly began to lift the blanket into place. After tightening all the screws to put the fallen piece back in place, I used the serrated washers sanded down and simulated a corrugated sponge finish on the last layer of plaster. NO GRINDING. A week later I repainted the ceiling and it looks fantastic. The washing machines have lasted for months, no problems or cracks, time will tell, but they have saved me a lot of money and work. Bows Price per piece including postage when purchased. Widespread. The Greshlers won.
