I found the spacing between each guide to be a little larger than I would like (however this seems to be common with these types of slicers). Between the gap and my ability to cut straight (which is why I bought this), I still have jagged cuts in my bread. I use a bread maker and the loaves are higher than the rails making it an art to start slicing. However, this food slicer is very easy to clean. and catches 98% of the crumbs. Would love to see a better way to save this. I put it on its side to save space, and the piece to stop the bread and the board to hold/move the bread won't fit in the bin anyway, preventing it from tipping to the side when lifted.
