They're great for French Onion Soup. This is the main purpose of your purchase. However, I tried to reheat the stew. This worked as expected. They are easy to clean afterwards. And don't take too much time and effort from my gentle hands. I didn't check the strength because they aren't that old and I didn't drop them. There may be an edit in the near future as I could inevitably drop one down the sink. I would recommend a serving size for a good American soup. I'm even considering using it for a small batch of casserole or even baked brie.
