Excellent night lights. They draw about 1/2 watt whether they're on or off - maybe I should say whether they're on or off since they're always on. They're surprisingly bright, but since you can point them up or down, they don't get in the way. However, there is a design flaw. The light sensor that "turns them on" is on top of the light. Therefore, you need to use it separately in an outlet. If you have it under another plug, it will always light up. If you have it over another plug, the plug will block the light. The sensor should be on the front of the light. It may not look as attractive, but it will work much better. I also find the light a bit brighter. Using a very thin strip of blue painters tape on the crease of the plastic creates a VERY nice light blue light.
