This product far exceeded my expectations. I was nervous about this purchase based on the negative reviews but found this product to be a great purchase and value for money. The following about "sound quality" relates to the use of the HJC IS17 helmet: The sound quality is above average for music, although not optimal. After all, these are small speakers. When I wasn't moving, I was very impressed with the sound quality given their size. Moving around 3040 any bass they had starts to disappear due to wind noise (my HJC is a very loud helmet - this situation may be different with a better helmet). Although music in HJC can still be heard at high speed. I don't know if it's the microphone or the speaker, but the audio quality when talking to another driver isn't as good as music. At 55 to 60 mph in the Kawasaki Concours, I can't have a meaningful conversation with another rider; it is not loud enough and muffled. I don't seem to have the same problem with music - the speakers are always clean and fairly loud. I personally think the microphone is so sensitive that the speaker "blows out" the sound because people tend to speak louder when the wind noise is loud (just a thought). But in general, the microphone does an excellent job of noise reduction. A person answering a call at 40-50 mph can't really tell I'm on a motorcycle; At the time of writing this review, I had no experience calling at higher speeds. Communication: I only use it to talk to my passenger - no bike to bike. Therefore, my rating only refers to this scenario. I haven't had any connectivity issues between devices and between devices and my iPhone. The two blocks are connected to each other at the push of a button. Each device connects to the iPhone at the touch of a button. I've never had a problem losing the connection between two devices or the iPhones they're connected to. The battery is STILL over 50% depending on the units. Sometimes I listened to music, other times they were on standby to speak to my driver - so it was mixed use. The battery life is excellent. Installation on my HJC IS17 was easy and hassle free. I am very happy with this purchase. Hopefully they'll get even better with a quieter helmet.
