After returning several Pottery Barn lunch boxes due to defects we ordered these for our preschooler. This is a great lunch box and the Bentgo bento box for kids with Bentgo print fits in perfectly. Both are easy for our son to open and his food stays fresh! We practiced with it last week and found after six hours that his food was still cold. We placed the guacamole in one of the bentgo box's compartments, placed it in the lunch box, and added a thin ice pack to the top and bottom. The guacamole was exactly the same color when we put it in the box at 6:30 in the morning! Also, the bentgo bento box fits in a lunch bag both horizontally and vertically, so I can put a small thermos for hot food in a bento box lunch bag. The quality leaps and bounds above the more expensive Pottery Barn boxes we returned. The padding, stitching, fabric, lining and overall construction are great. There is a lot of insulation/padding which is great! My son loves that there are multiple ways to wear it. (It has two handles and a strap that can be used.) We're very impressed. Customer service was also excellent. We ordered two bento boxes to take turns in the lunch box. The tray in one of them was a bit loose because it had a slight mold flaw. I tried to buy a replacement tray as the box was fine and they responded immediately. The company asked me to send a photo and sent a new tray (free) for the box with no further problems. All of this was handled by two emails in less than two hours. That's all! Didn't have to return anything and wait for a refund etc. They stand behind the food.
