I didn't want to wait for a Shimano OEM tube so I bought this one. Does it work like a brake hose? Yes. Does it allow you to stop your bike? Yes. Is it worth buying? Absolutely not! As others have said, the tubing is very prone to splitting and attaching the tips is tricky, but that's not the worst. The tips have a small hole that restricts oil flow. This results in a terrible brake feel. This adds a lot of drag to the feel of the lever (similar to mechanical brakes with very dirty cables). I don't know why you did that to your bike. It's worse than useless.
