Thanks, Volant! The Black PowerCore 161576 Closed Case Filter is the most valuable air intake I have ever purchased. The PowerCore filter costs a lot more than what I paid for. Upgraded from a 77 K&N "Cold Air" oil filter installed by the first owner. That's usually what goes in my cars, but after my Sport Trac used this type of filter I wanted to see what else was a little more closed. If you are looking for an OFF ROAD type filter, this is the one you want to buy. The only downside I saw was that it's not a truly closed system. If you had to cut or remove the wheel well felt lining, it would appear that water particles would easily get into the filter. There are steps to fix this. but I expect it out of the box when something is marked as "closed". In addition, the filter is massive and the angle of attack for its installation is steep. So be careful not to break it.
